1. Do not wash , Dust can settle on wet blinds and leave a sticky mess that is even harder to clean!

2. Use a soft duster, paper towel, or paper and gently take off the dust. Microfibres are the best choice; however, if you're unable to find one, it's a good idea to use older (clean!) socks.

3. To dust vertical blinds, make sure you hold the blind's bottom with one hand to support it. Clean the blinds with a microfiber cloth. Begin at the top and move downwards. Clean the blinds in a downward direction, or they could fall out of the hook. You could also use your vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment that dusts and an option for low suction to eliminate dust. For vertical blinds, the process is similar, but you'll have to clean between the sides. Start from the top, moving downwards to ensure that dust doesn't land on on areas you've already cleaned.

4. If you are dealing with a severe build-up of dirt, use a damp cloth to wipe off the dust. Avoid spraying water or supermarket cleaning products directly on your blinds without testing a small, discrete area first.

5. Avoid rubbing too hard on the surface of the blinds, as it could damage to them.

6. Do not attempt to clean the inside of the blind mechanism; this too may damage your blinds.

7. Always keep the blinds shut while cleaning.
